WHAT IS THE CHICAGO HIP HOP THEATER FEST?

Hip Hop | Theater | Activism | Community

The Chicago Hip Hop Theater Fest presents emerging and established Hip Hop Theater artists. This series of performances aims to bring communities together to celebrate, challenge, and enjoy meaningful, edutainment, that will inspire important conversations around race, gender, class, faith, and identity. The stage aims to present works that center black and brown experience, social movement immediacy, and Hip Hop as a radical tool toward liberation. CHHTF includes perspectives that help us go beyond the reductive, simplistic talking points that we’ve become accustomed to, humanizing many of the days issues and offering solutions to the discourse.
